GREENING
The primary objective being to green the minds of our children for a better future and a balanced lifestyle. We have pledged to green schools throughout the country.
Our work is dependant on sponsors and the building of partnerships that make a green difference within these environments. It is of vital importance to us to ensure that we are able to go into schools and green areas for relaxation, sports and a place where they can sit under a green tree in the hot summer and find shade on warm winter days.
Many of our children are being educated in areas which resemble dust bowls. We as a nation can and should be making a difference by planting trees, vegetable gardens and flower beds. The Miss Earth South Africa organization has planted thousands of trees in the past 5 years, minimize our own carbon footprint and greening our children's environment.
We also strive to create an awareness about caring for nature and for those around us. It is imperative that all of us are aware of the value of trees and grass and indigenous vegetation.
