What is required of a finalist?
Each finalist will be required to put in a certain number of ‘earth hours’ in community and school projects, attend functions, participate in official shoots and sponsor events.

What is required of Miss Earth SA winner?
For the year of her reign, Miss Earth South Africa will be required to be an Ambassador for Environmental projects and initiatives as run by the organization. Miss Earth South Africa becomes a spokesperson for the organization. She will meet with people from around the country from all walks of life. She becomes a Green Goddess and Icon to children from across our rainbow nation. She will also have the once in a lifetime opportunity of attending the international Miss Earth event in South East Asia. This will be discussed in more detail with the ladies whom are chosen as finalists.

Do I need to have previous Environmental experience?
No. But if you do that’s awesome. The most important aspect of any entrant is her ability to learn, grow and share knowledge and information. She need not only be beautiful but informative too.

Is the Miss Earth SA competition limited to Gauteng?
No, Miss Earth is a national event.

Do I have to be a model?
No

Must I submit photos of myself?
Yes. 2 Postcard sized photos. (1 Full length, 1 Profile photo). See examples.

Do I need to submit professional photos?
No. Click here for examples of the photos we require. Please note that if you do not have professional pics that no problem, if you become a finalists we will do an official professional photoshoot with all finalists. If you are at an agency please also send us your z-card.

Can I email my photos?
Yes, you can email your photos but please also post them. If you are unable to post them, please contact the Miss Earth Office for alternative arrangements to be made.

Is there a height restriction?
There is no height restriction. We believe that Ambassadors should not be judged on this element.
